you sure are keeping things fresh these days, zootcase.

Nostalgia is a beautiful beautiful thing.

That was great! I don't think I have ever watched that show. Although, I've watched several shows from the 80s that looked and sounded like that one!

Who's The Boss, Charles In Charge... there's so many!

:heterosexualman:wink::

Damn! Street Hawk! Oh the memories!!!

I just found out the awesome opening theme is from a Tangerine Dream album. I've always been curious about those german electronic music wizards. Now I'm definitely getting one of their albums.

Air Wolf's theme sounds pretty cool. But nothing can beat Tangerine Dream's LA (Street Hawk) theme in my mind. ;)

Granted, I've never watched Air Wolf. It's all about nostalgic preference.

I was just thinking about starting a nostalgia thread myself. Youtube is a gem. I give you a bunch of classic 80s and early 90s cartoon intros. Cartoons were much better back then.

I'd just like to specifically point out the Batman Animated Series Intro. Do yourselves a favor and check it out. Many have called 'Batman: The Animated Series' the best cartoon of the 90s.

It is the best cartoon of the '90s. The voice acting was impeccable, the stories were always great and enjoyable, plus it introduced the world to Harley Quinn!

Plus the toys based on it were insane.

The batmobile with the batwing inside of it?

The bruce wayne figure that you actually snapped the batman suit onto?

Off the hook, I tell you.

I used to have every Batman toy imaginable and all of the VHS tapes. I love the fact Mark Hamill was the voice of The Joker, that's fucking amazing.

The Spider-Man, Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tiny Toons, Pinky & the Brain cartoons, Nickelodeon shows and early Power Rangers dominated my childhood.

Then again, I'm a child of the '90s. I don't wish to derail this thread from it's '80s goodness.

You can talk about TMNT if you want. TMNT is 80s.

why, so you guys can be mean to him? just because a bunch of you hate him doesn't give you the right to make fun of him in threads.

I was being sarcastic. I don't understand the Justin thing at all...I didn't even know it was an issue for some. It's certainly not for me. I guess I'll be more direct in saying that I found it slightly ironic that Zoots would create "OMG! Does anybody remember this TV show from the 80s?" after going after Justin's thread-making ways.

I love you, Zoots, but there's an inner Justin in all of us, don't you think?

These were my favourites. I was never into the whole Transformers thing. That was a VERY boy-orientated cartoon.

Found some more that I used to love:

The Adventures Of Tin Tin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkmCs921Hz4

I can't tell you how much I used to love Tin Tin when I was a kid. It was the perfect adventure cartoon. If there was an old episode playing on TV right now, I would seriously watch it.

Rupert

X-Men (X-Men had the coolest theme!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tFc9svb2os

Pinky And The Brain
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJPFSNu_QNs

I can't remember if Pinky And The Brain was a part of Animaniacs, or if it was its own show. I think it started out on Animaniacs and then was released on its own.

Gummi Bears

Goof Troop

Conan the Adventurer (I told my mom I was going to marry someone just like Conan when I grew up  )

Garfield And Friends

Marsupilami (Hooba!)

I'll stop there. There's still so many I could post! The late 80s/early 90s definitely had the best cartoons. I'm a bit sad that kids these days can't spend their Saturday mornings watching stuff like this.

How many threads do I make like that and how often?

I love you too AOD! We share many similar musical tastes! PJ

I think I'm coming across as an ass from all angles in this thread!

Zoots, your threads are great. I apologize if I offended you…you are truly one of the main cogs here in creating and generating discussions I’m interested in…99.99 percent of the time. (You rank right alongside a furry co-member who shall remain nameless.) I guess I was caught up in the overall backlash against Justin, which I thought was a little unfair. He’s not someone I necessarily gravitate towards with his opinions, but unless he’s said something racist or completely inappropriate, he doesn’t deserve to be heckled or brought down. (I think I’ve now officially moved from being an ass, to completely anal.)

I love you, too, man

I used to like the intros to 80's WWF TV shows.

The old WWF logo being shot with lasers and the other one where the logo flies over the ocean then gets hit with lightening bolts.

It was pretty bad ass back then.

I still don't understand how Baloo managed to get a plane.

Didn't the female bear (I think her name was Rebecca?) own the plane/company? Baloo just flew it, I think.

But who cares about that, the most important thing is the fun of singing "OH-EEE-YEAH! OH-EEE-YO!"
