my list won't count, because I don't think I bought 10 CDs that were released this year...I don't care

1-U2-How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
2-The Killers-Hot Fuss
3-Queen-On Fire(Live At The Bowl)...The Darkness are no Queen..
4-Beastie Boys-To The Five Burroughs
5-Collective Soul-Youth
6-Green Day-American Idiot

I don't apologize for any of my picks...my tastes tend to lead me away from indie, or emo, or any of that stuff.....

aw shit, in no order just top 10 all around, some bands you've heard and some you haven't

1. Nightwish - Once
2. Therion - Sirius B/Lemuria (one of the best double albums in double album history)
3. Modest Mouse - Good News for People Who Love Bad News
4. The Cure - Self Titled
5. Interpol - Antics
6. My Dying Bride - Songs of Darkness, Words of Light
7. The Killers - Hot Fuss (band with potential better not blow it!)
8. Duran Duran - Astronaut
9. Decapitated - The Negation
10. Lamb of God - Ashes of the Wake

Call me anal but anything after November I'm not including... yea, yea whatever

So honorable mentions:

U2 - How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb (what can I say about my boys, it wasn't the rockin' album I was expecting but the songs are still very emotional and heartfelt they never go wrong in that area)
Rammstein - Reise, Reise (fuck me! these guys have been a bit low profile since their release Mutter in 2001. The industrial edge has worn out a bit, but their experimentation into mellower tunes is amazing"Ohne Dich" is the highlight.)

So that's that!

NICE!!! I've really enjoyed that album also. I wasnt sure if you woowoo-ed or poopoo-ed Nightwish, Bunbury. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.

Which of their albums are your fav? I'd have to say mine is Century Child.

Yup, Century Child is my favorite also, but I think Wishmaster (the one before?) was their weakest kinda boring

I can already tell I'm going to have to give a honorable mention to the American Music Club album, 'Love Songs for Patriots'.

I've listened to about 5 of the songs so far, and loved every single one. Good stuff.
