Yeah, the new album is a grower, but already having the opportunity to hear the material live swayed my opinion. Sometimes you gotta go with the albums you listen to the most.

And...

I just checked your list SkeeK. How many Canadian artists are present on there?



To me it seems there are two regions with a large camp of quality artists... The UK and Canada (which explains the split in my list). It will be interesting to see which scene has more longevity. At the moment the energy is in the UK, but the substance is across the pond. We'll see.

Thanks for the recommendation... I've already got Shine A Light (the album) and was considering them for my list. Unfortunately I think their last release was 2003.

argh, so much love for the killers...

anyway, i forgot to mention that 'saturday morning empires' is PROBABLY my favourite album of the year, but it's a collection of songs from various artists. does that count?
