Odd Question: How to Research Criminal History of your Home

Hey all,

I can't seem to find the answer on the internets on my own, so thought I'd ask you guys.

If I wanted to find out the criminal history of my home or past homes, as in, if a crime was ever committed at the home and the police filed a report, how would I research that?

Essentially, I lived in two houses in Florida that might have had bad things happen in them (before I lived there). I would like to see what I can find out for my own peace of mind.

Go to the police station and ask for the police reports? Maybe check newspaper morgues?

Contact the police agency and ask about the "Premise History" of a specific address; you may have to given them credible reasons as to why....

Deaths that occur in a property must be disclosed prior to closing, especially murder/suicide.

Other crimes do not have to be disclosed, obviously.
