My actual name is Sergio....

Serge for short....but I hate the 'e' because then its pronounced "Seeeer-je" *in french accent*

So I used to sign stuff as "Serg"

Well, when I attended the Univ. of Connecticut I was an art major....go figure...a Sergio as an art major....who would of thunk it? maybe a gay fashion designer...but thing is I'm not gay and I don't know designers...kind of redundant don't ya think?

anyhow....being pretty good at art and drawing...along with what many describe as "an uncanny ability to capture a funny moment and express it visually" I decided to try to get a job with the school newspaper as a comic stripper (clothing optional ) To give you an idea, the school newpaper at UConn is very well known around campus, and is read by just about EVERYONE. It has both proffessional comics as well as some student ones too. Well I had a chance to get a comic my second year after being denied my first. Looking for a name....I thought long and hard, at the time there was a soda called "Surge" I bet you remeber those annoying screaming ads? SUUUUUUUUUURGE!!!! Which haunted me for years after as EVERYONE felt it necessary to yell it to me EVERY time they saw me.

*takes breath and sip from glass*

Long story short, I decided to name it 'Surge' . It went on to be very popular and from then on EVERYONE automatically called me SURGE and wrote things to me as SURGE...so it stuck and thats the short version of the stroy I guess.....

whew.....

*picks up glass and rattles icecubes around until one drops in mouth*

Everyone here usually uses a nickname of U2 related type thing for a monicker.
It was funny when I looked at everyones pictures I was trying to place a name to what they looked like. Its kind of true that sometimes people look like a "Mike" or a "Helga" you know.

Since you don't know my real name, I can't ask you if I look like it. My nickname comes from the shortened version of my full U2 name thingie... it's a lyric from "If You Wear that Velvet Dress" and I love the moon... used to go and stare at it at night, watched it turn red and sink into the ocean... and I have one tattooed somewhere on my body. So, yeah. My real name is Dana.
