or is there some national shame in the spraakwater um...experience?

hmm, australia. we suck at a lot of things, like music and sport. but let's see.

I cannot stress this first one enough. mp3s will be hard to come by because they're signed to EMI who're commie pinko socialists and have copyright protection, but you MUST find The Cat Empire. http://www.thecatempire.com.au/
i think there's sound bytes on the site. if not, google or steal from anyone you can. do it! quick! hurry up...

2 who i always whore out are eskimo joe and killing heidi. killing heidi did the song "I Am" from spiderman. as always, an oldie but goodie is TISM. if the song titles alone dont get you curious then you are probably never going to find true happiness.

Alex Lloyd is fantastic!
Watching Angels Mend (I think that's what it's called - too lazy to go dig it up) is a great CD!

i'm very bad at gauging popularity of certain artists. if you want to know about some bands that i think rock, then follow my posts around a bit. i'm mostly talking about american bands, and the US is where i live...

Mute Math from the U.S. (They won't be obscure for long).

So Dr. Teeth, where is the city you're from located? I've got family in the Netherlands (mainly in Friesland/Fryslan) and I travelled around the country years ago. Great place. Nice people.

Ok, here's some of Scotland's effort-
Biffy Clyro, The Delgados, Beta Band, Belle and Sebastian, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, Mogwai, Mull Historical Society, Teenage Fanclub and my personal favourites(and not very obscure, infact it's debatable how obscure this list is) Idlewild.
