Canada's ChartAttack.com is reporting that British rockers OASIS have an unlikely new adversary — Auburn, New York heavy metal band MANOWAR.

That's what happens when you stop singer Liam Gallagher in mid-brag about how OASIS are "like, the loudest band in the fucking world onstage" and tell him that the Guinness Book Of World Records instead favors MANOWAR.

"But they're loud and shit though, aren't they? They're just shit," Gallagher says emphatically.

Seated beside him, bassist Andy Bell is somewhat perplexed.

"Who are they anyway?" Bell asks. "Heavy metal?"

"Fuck MANOWAR," interjects Gallagher decisively.

There's a pause as Liam's insult sinks in. Then Bell replies dryly, "That was a good point anyway. A bit blunt of you, but well made."

When you get punked out by Oasis, you've really sank to the bottom, haven't you?
Bands like Manowar give a bad name to metal IMO, of all the bands to speak up against Manowar I'm surprised it was Oasis

Give Liam a microphone and he'll just open a can of shitty worms huh?

Ther are only 3 thing to do in Auburn, NY:

1: Drink Beer

Sorry, but Manowar's Fighting the World was a classic metal album, and they had a few others as well. These guys were awesome. They signed their record contract in blood, and waged a war against poser "false metal".

Oasis are a bunch of knobs with zero originality. What's so special about a Beatles knockoff? If Blur said that about Manowar it might have more credibility, but Blur doesn't trash talk bands for no reason like the Gallagher Bros. It's tired, really.

I pray this post was in jest..

I like how they have Andy playing the straightman now. He's like Zeppo Gallagher. Say what you will about the music, but their comedy act has grown by leaps and bounds.
