Zoots.
In no particular order:
Idler's Dream
Beautiful and so unOasisy.
Don't Look Back In Anger
I really do think that the album version is perfection.
Love Like A Bomb
Contender for best song off DBTT?
The Hindu Times
Love it. Very rock and roll.
Sad Song
A lovely song.
Bring It On Down
I can't believe how often this song gets overlooked. Possibly the rockiest song off Definitely Maybe. A great vocal from Liam, fantastic lyrics (Loved Noel's reaction when he talked about the lyrics on the Definitely Maybe DVD.
) and Tony's drumming actually adds to the song!!
My Big Mouth
From one drummer to another. The main reason I love this song is because of Alan White's drumming especially at the end.
Where Did It All Go Wrong?
One of the strongest songs from SOTSOG. Slightly suffocated as part of the album due to it's downbeat nature on an album that was already chock full of sad songs. But stand it alone (and like many of the SOTSOG songs) it works so much better.
Half The World Away
I never tire of this song. Great to sing along to too.
Whatever
The thing that lifts this song up is Liam's vocal. He really, really means it and that sincerity comes across loud and clear.
And this is what I put in the October thread when I was clearly feeling very enthusiastic!

Oasis AND lists?!!
1. The Masterplan (great lyrics)
2. Let There Be Love (one of the classic vocal performances from both brothers)
3. Talk Tonight (Love it. So thoughtful, tender and reflective)
4. Underneath the sky (One of their best intros ever IMO)
5. Don't Look Back In Anger (Possibly perfection. Gets even better on FTM when the crowd sing the chorus)
6. Half The World Away (The song that got me into the band)
7. Whatever (Not so sure about the "get on the bus" bit but it's a great tune nonetheless)
8. Supersonic (The high vocal of the bridge is fantastic)
9. My Big Mouth ( the ending)
10. Idler's Dream (Beautiful, simply beautiful )
Honourable mentions: Everything else they've done. The fact we all chose so many different songs for our top ten shows their wide appeal. And also, Headshrinker. The song to play people when they argue Liam can't sing, followed by Little James (ignore the lyrics, the vocal people, it's all about THAT vocal!) or Let There Be Love.
Yeah, I like, Nay, LOVE the B-sides! (though didn't reckon a lot to Lyla's B-sides. Eyeball Ticker?? Were The Importance of Being Idle ones any better?)
But I like everyone else's lists too. To be honest I think you could have selected any 10 Oasis songs and I'd have loved the list. That's how much I love this band. :scarilyobsessedsimilie:
