Nutty name, no joke

Believe it or not, there was once a baby girl who was given the name Diot Coke. I'm not kidding. I don't believe she was named after the drink, however. She was born in West Riding, Yorkshire, in 1379. The name Diot was a diminutive of a then-popular name, Dionisa (the name Denise is a version of this name also). As for the last name it's believed to be a variation on Cook.
