Aretha truly is the Queen Of Soul. And that song is one of her (many) highlights. Mary J Blige also did quite a good cover of that one. I think it's impossible to better the original (IIRC, it was also written by Aretha herself. Have to look that one up), but Mary J did not put it to shame.

And a correction from me. Aretha did not write Natural Woman. That song is a Goffin/King/Wexler composition. Think is co-written by her (as is All The King's Horses, later covered by Joss Stone).
