Cool! I'm always interested in any discussion of the Church. (I'm such a Church geek :reject: )

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Do you agree with the order?" ?

The Church -- Hotel Womb (live -- ah, hell they're all gonna be live for a while....I'm listening to a bootleg)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morning comes at last, and she's lying by my side
She's got the face of the widow that keeps following me
And the body of my bride
I say, why are those buildings swaying like trees?
I say, can we stop for a while?
She says, can't you hear the city that's hidden in me?
It's just another mile
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

^ Some of my favorite lyrics ever!

For some reason that reminds me of...

can you... see the beauty inside of me?
what happened to the beauty I had inside of me?

Aha! My poor little brain is toast. :huh:

Starfish is always good. And I adore Heyday -- lots of jangle on Heyday. There is a greatest hits compilation called Under the Milky Way: The Best of The Church which goes up to 1994, but from what I understand there are some odd edits on there (it was done without the band's input). Lots of good songs on it, but I really like their songs best in album context.

Part 2 of my answer....

Forget Yourself, their 2003/04 release is very cool, but a bit weaker towards the end. Still I really like the first 7-8 songs (and the others aren't really bad, they just aren't as strong. "Sealine" which opens the album starts with this really ominous feedback rumble...made all my cats and dogs dive for cover the first few times I played it. :)

And I absolutely love After Everything Now This but many people find it too mellow. To me it's a very reflective album...as if they came to terms with all the shit life's thrown at them.
