If the Stone Roses selftitled album is the best album of all time, music as a whole should curl up in a ball and die. (this is coming from someone who actually likes the Stone Roses)

Yeah, I want to see the whole list, if anyone gets NME this week and is bored you should layem out here. How did the strokes make the top10? I mean, great album, but top 10 of all time?? And I like the Pixies as well as the next guy but #2 is a stretch, I guess these lists were made to argue over.......

I've never even heard of Love - Forever Changes

Was this a readers poll?

I'm usually really good at picking it up - but USA bookstores are generally a week behind in getting NME issues.

I'll try tho!

i have not heard of it either mop pofo, see the title of the thread to answer your other inquiry.........

i've heard of it, never heard it. i've heard of it in the context of music discussions by fairly snobby indie band guys...

how the pistols made the top ten and not the clash, i do not understand. that album is great, but it's by no means a top 10 important album. it's important, just not THAT important.

I think you have to take into account the primary NME audience and readership into account..they cater for alternative and indie genres mainly so these polls will often reflect just that.

Glad to see Pet Sounds is appreciated across many platforms

These are my favorite people to punch in the face!

I hate the NME. Every four months they tag a band no one has ever heard of as the saviours of rock and roll.

That said, I do think the Stone Roses' album is brilliant. Excellent. And yes, definitely top ten material. :D
