Which Nick do you prefer?

The crazy, doomsday, punk preacher with the Birthday Party and his 1980s albums?

Or the more stately goth balladeer of 'The Boatman's Call'?

Edit: Basically it's a question asking whether you like 'From Her To Eternity' or 'Are You The One I'm Waiting For' better.

Cave threatened no show

09/09/2005 - 10:50:04

Veteran Australian rocker Nick Cave threatened to walk out of a London gig last month after a security guard banned him from taking beer on stage.

The edgy From Here To Eternity hitmaker was so furious at Alexandra Palace's strict rules, he stormed back to his dressing room and informed promoters he would not appear without his customary beer (and cigarettes).

A furious Cave insisted: "If I can't take a beer on with me, I'm going back to my dressing room.

"You can go out there and tell some jokes to entertain the crowd for three hours."

Special allowance was eventually granted for the band to perform with alcoholic beverages onstage.

You gotta love the guy!

I'm afraid I can't choose...but great thread! :)

My favorite Cave album is And No More Shall We Part, and I do prefer the balladry... BUT, I do still enjoy the rest a good bit, too.
