hi ladywithspinninghead!!!
(can you remember me, hint: flyers fan!)

no hockey is not as big here as it is in Canada, it's growing and it is by no means obscure but it definitely does not recieve the hype that sports like baseball, football, and basketball do! I believe that is all AvsGirl meant.

well nice to see ya round here, mario-obsessed person!

Yeah, that's what I meant. Obscure isn't a good word to use, but it isn't popular.

Even golf and NASCAR get more attention than hockey! Even that short-lived and much hated XFL got better ratings than the 2001 season. It's pretty surprising--and just plain wrong!

But, I do like it that way. It just means we can get tickets easier and autographs from the players!

Hey!!!!

You changed your name???
Do you still keep your old one??

As for being Mario-obsessed...how can I not be??
To be honest, I haven't thought of him all summer but it was so great to see him back in action again!

Actually, it's nice that hockey's back - I'll come to Interference more often!!

Good luck with Philadelphia this year btw!!

p.s.: Congrats Montreal!! Wooohoo!!!
They beat the Stanley Cup Champions!! (and without Theodore en plus!!)

The Avs are still having a hard time putting the puck in the net, but at least we're winning!

And nothing but praise for Martin Skoula! About damn time!

Big Grin

OhmyGodIhadsuchagoodtimeattheWildRedWingsgamelastnight! Our seats were right on the glass, maybe 6 feet to the right of the goal. I have never had seats like that before, and they've spoiled me forever. But it was worth it. Woooo! And I could have kidnapped a variety of players.

Okay, it's official...Mario is THE Hockey God!

Another 3 assists last night?

It's just amazing to see him playing - he said he's playing for the first time in a long time without any pain to his hip, back or anything!

Furthermore, the crackdowns on obstructions, etc is really letting him shine!

Pittsburgh in 4!!!!
