OK football fans here we go, the 69th annual Interference NFL Playoffs Pool.

The ground rules for those new to the game:
Assign a value from 1 to 12 to each playoff team, using each value only once. The value stays with the team throughout the playoffs.
You will earn the corresponding number of points for each team whenever they win a game. When a team loses, you get lu-gatz.
All entries must be in before kickoff of the first wildcard game, this Saturday, January 7 at 4:30 PM EST.

Your NFL playoff participants are:
AFC:
Colts
Broncos
Bengals
Patriots
Jaguars
Steelers

NFC:
Seahawks
Bears
Buccaneers
Giants
Panthers
Redskins

Good luck.
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask...remember there are no stupid questions, only stupid people.

And as an Iggles fan, you must dislike the Giants, yet you have them as your pick to win the whole enchilada.

Just hedging his bets, I presume. In one case, he gets to see a team he hates lose. In the other case, he gets an enchilada with a side of beans and some fried ice cream for dessert.

You DO realize that both the Giants and Pats have an extra game to play, games they're both favorites for...therefore, this week, instead of getting less points by playing them lower, I play them higher and get more points. The farther both teams go, the more points I get because they've played an extra game.

It's called strategy, folks.

It pained me to put the Pats up that high, but of course they're going to get their asses handed to them in the 2nd or 3rd round, so I'll take advantage of that.

ETA: The Giants aren't my pick to win the playoffs. The Giants are my pick to make the NFC Championship. Therefore instead of putting the Seahawks at 11 or 12 and getting 22 or 24 points off them pre-Superbowl, I now make 33 or 36 points off the Giants when they get that far. It's all about tactics, folks.

If the Giants make the NFC Championship and lose, you only get 24 points pre-Superbowl and then your 12 is out.
Believe it or not, you need to put 12 on the team that is gonna win the Superbowl to win this yummy enchilada. If say the Seahawks win the Superbowl, you get 3 times their value, a team playing the first weekend will have 1 more weekend possibly to play, but the odds are they won't be around at the end and you may lead after week 1 and be in 13th place (where all you get is stale tortilla chips and some moldy salsa) at the end.
Good luck with Eli.
