Thanks to Don Shula, there's no doubt in my mind the Patriots will go undefeated now.

Way to go, Don. You stay classy.

Sometimes I really love being the only girl who frequently posts in this thread.

You know, just because.

Now, I need help in figuring out how in hell to smuggle some beer into the game. Any ideas?

When I was in school (dry campus) I could get an entire case of beer in my jacket/pants and smuggle it into my dorm. And it wasn't that big of a jacket either.

Get one of those big puffy starter jackets, should be able to sneak in a 12 pack easily. Getting it in won't be the problem, keeping your neighbors in the family section from ratting on you will be.

Not if you bring enough for them and their kids.

Great, now I've got to bring enough for the kids, too? What kind of world are we living in where parents don't think ahead of time to spike the juice cups?

And randhail, the beer belly thingy would be a great idea - if I was a dude.

I'm wearing the girly jersey so that idea is a no-no (even if I wasn't it'd still be a no-no). The big jacket idea looks like the winner here.

I guess you don't want to bring beer in that badly.

sheesh... it takes a professional to get the job done

don't smuggle beer into the stadium. one would assume that you get patted down on the way in. it'll never get in and it'll all just be waisted, which would be a sin. cans and bottles tend to be a bit noticable on a basic pat down.

it's not like you're restricted to the family section... go get your beer and bring it in. if they tell you to take it out, go stand in a breezeway or something and drink it. i'm sure there are plenty of places at ford field where you can readily drink adult alcoholic goodness and still view the game.

and if all else fails, get a big soda, empty the soda out, wash out the cup in the bathroom to get rid of pepsi taste and pour your beers inside so as to disguise them when yout ake it into the family/no booze section.

and it goes without saying that you should just get shit canned in the parking lot before the game so that you only need a couple of beverages to keep you going once inside.

Know what, I sat in the "family section" of the Milwaukee Brewers game I went to last summer and people were drinking beer. The ones who got booted were the really trashed ones who were cursing a lot. The guy next to me had 3 little kids. He seriously was so mad it got really heated.

Security came and escorted the young/drunk kids out to an applause of soccer moms and dads.

so just don't curse loudly in front of kids and you should be ok.

That gut shaped beer smuggler is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen!

Team hating: there are lots of sites about hating teams these even have their own theme song:
http://www.wf.net/~sst97/ktcf.html
http://steelerssuck.com/

Somebody mentioned Denver having a dirty offensive line, some folks used to really hate John Elway, Romanowski and Atwater were dirty players, and Shannon Sharpe was just as obnoxious as TO in his day.

I knew you'd know exactly what to do.

It was a foreign subject matter to me, the family area at a sporting event. I panicked.

And no swearing. Got it, Phil.

You make it sound all past tense. Shannon is still quite obnoxious today on TV. But at least his football IQ makes up for it as evidenced by his Rams to the Super Bowl prediction for this season.
