New Year's Resolutions

Well folks, there's a little more than a week left in 2006. It went by so fast! I was wondering if:

Do any of you have and/or make New Year's resolutions?

Do you manage to keep them? If so, for how long?

What are your resolutions? Are they realistic?

Here's mine(we'll see how long they last!)

I resolve to:

1. Eat healthier and try to shep some pounds

2. Be more organized and less of a procrastinator

Congrats on staying true to your resolution! I know it must not have been easy.

I'm hoping for a similar type of success.

Use less paper towels and to brush my teeth and wear my glasses on the weekends. They are pretty simple so I think I can actually stick to my resolutions this year!

My New Year's Resolution is to get my schoolwork done in a timely and orderly fashion.

But I know that will never happen, never has.

Oh well.

-drink 10 glasses of water a day
-go to swim practice everyday unless i have a good excuse (no sleeping in..)
-take a multivitamin every day
-tell my family members i love them everyday and ask them about their day
-make a specific effort everyday to be less judgemental and more sympathetic to people in general (sounds like a random unachievable goal but it's actually possible if you just think about it everyday- i just tend to "forget" )
-eat chocolate once a week tops

- Get an elliptical and use it. This will happen as soon as I pay off our Hawaii trip and can afford it...

- Clean the litter boxes more often

To lose a bit of weight and get fit again. Back when I used to play football (soccer) for my school, I used to be 110 pounds and could run 2 kms without working up a sweat. I'm now 118 pounds and get tired if I jog for twenty minutes.

The goal is to FINALLY make use of the damn gym fee I have to pay to my university and work out for at least an hour every day. Hopefully I'll be fit enough to try out for the girl's rugby team this time next year.

GG I think remember you posting in the (highly dysfunctional) height/weight thread and 118 lbs is perfect for your height.

I know what you mean though I hate getting side cramps and violent wheezing at distances that used to be easy for me.

to give up pepsi for one year. going on week #2 already.

eat healthier (more veggies, take vitamins)

shed some weight (9 pounds gone, going on 10 soon)

go back to church eventually.

keep away from all drama.

Perfect for my height maybe, but not the appearance of my thighs. The weight I gained over the past five years seems to have congregated there and it pisses me off. I also used to have a flat stomach...not anymore!

It's more just getting physically fit and eating healthier, though, that I'm concerned with. Not just losing weight. I get the same thing as you. Wheezing, side cramps...even headaches. I never used to get headaches after going for a run.
