To me, "Beverly Hills" is a more polished Weezer with an 80s feel and Pinkerton lyrical delivery. I don't think the song is great but it sounds fun. Otherwise blame Rick Rubin...

Of course you could take the perspective that this song is Weezer pandering and "cashing in."

Did anyone get tickets this morning?

I didn't even try and when I tried TM just for giggles just now the show was sold out. Not surprising, them playing in small theatres this time.
