RADIOHEAD RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED?

RADIOHEAD's new album will be released on June 9, according to reports.

The record, the group's sixth, has been given working titles '2+2=5' and 'Are You Listening'. The group have recently been back in LA with producer Nigel Godrich, putting the final touches to the record.

According to Teletext in the UK, the record will be released on June 9, with a single preceding it on May 16.

The release would coincide with their previously announced summer festival dates, which will almost certainly include a headline slot at Glastonbury.

Speaking recently, O'Brien revealed that the atmosphere in the band is "fucking brilliant" compared to the frosty recording sessions for their last two albums 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac, and that the new songs contain "space and sunshine and energy".

He commented: "You know that time when bands begin to swagger, like when the Stones got in a grove from '68 to '73? In the last two years, I think we've done that. To me, this record feels like the culmination of the best bits of 'The Bends', 'OK Computer', 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac'.

Drummer Phil Selway added: "I don't think we've ever felt so self assured in the studio. This time no shit hit the fan. And Thom's voice has been incredible. That's the stand out element for me. He's reminded us that he's in a league of his own."

happy birthday kirk

my b-day is June 5!

Good news. Very, very good news. Cant wait to hear that new single.

WHY WOULDNT YOU GO TO GLASTONBURY?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!

yes this is good news, but its not official. and because its from the nme, they could very well have made this entire thing up.

but thats not too likely since this lines up perfectly well with everything else weve been hearing about lp6's plans.

thanks hello angel.

I'm hoping the new album will be called "erotic search engines"

there are also rumours that the band will be playing some festival in NY this summer, that it's already booked but un-announced

wanderer, you know what else is a rumor?

that d'arcy is going to take the place of colin on bass. apparently radiohead are polishing up their image to give the male pleba crowd something to cheer for.

if you know what everyone then means and what theyre saying means...:sexywink:

Boo ya.

darcy wakaluck is a friend of mine, and senator, you're know darcy wakaluck.

there was also a rumour that these were throwaway songs to get out of a record deal, but a girl said that, so it was a pretty pointless rumour

ah, so very true.

darcy wakaluk and andy moog were dynamite between the pipes for the young dallas stars in the early to mid 90's.

wak's had quite the ferocious mean streak to him too, he had no probs swingin his "paddle" at the other teams "players" if you or anyone else gets or know or tries to realize what im saying...

didnt he push don beaupre, karri takko and jarmo myllys out of jobs? the astute observor will note that it was the moe mantha trade had them poised to make the playoffs in the late 80s though...
