New Elliott Smith double album: New Moon

Good news this past week for Elliott Smith fans: the Kill Rock Stars label has announced the release of a posthumous double disc of unreleased Elliott material from 1995-1997 (self-titled and Either/Or album eras). It's called New Moon and due out on May 8th.

and now this! i always get a liitle melancholy
while listening to smith, it's so sad that such
great talent didn't get the recognition he
deserved and that his life ended so tragically.

Even though I've heard versions of most of these songs before in some capacity, I still can't wait for this CD. Looking forward to better quality versions of songs that definitely deserve an official release. Kind of disappointed that some of his other lesser-known material didn't make it ("I Don't Think I'm Ever Going to Figure It Out" ), but this looks to be a fantastic CD nonetheless.
