New Drinks

Come up with any lately?

Recently at a bar I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who considers himself a rum freak. He was drinking Rum and Club Soda and I was making fun of him because every time I see him he has a different rum drink (all of which in my mind are relatively nasty.)

This is also a person who likes to drink "Bloody Beers" on Sundays. A bloody beer is a bloody mary with a beer poured in. Sounds nasty (and it is) but he claims it removes his hangover from the night before.

So, logically we combined his drinks and came up with the Bloody Captain which in essence is a Bloody Mary with a couple shots of Captain Morgan's thrown in.

Gross right?

I myself am a vodka man and find no greater pleasure than an ice cold Stoli Gimlet (Stoli and Rose's lime juice - that's it), but I am always up for a change. I, at one point used to drink the OUIZY which contained Stoli Oranj, Cranberry Juice, and a splash of tonic, but those became too sweet, plus your vomit is red at 6:32 in the morning the next day after a binge night on OUIZYs..

So, do y'all have any "UNIQUE" drinks that you like?

Hmmm. I drink mostly beer but on those rare nights I don't. I like Stoli Vanilla and Coke.

I also have a weakness for Jack Daniels and Dr. Pepper. I just call it Pepper Jack but I'm sure it has a real name.

I drink black and tans all the time but thats not original.

Unique? No. But I think my fave drink is a Summer Hummer...I like the vodka just by itself though too.

A Pepper Jack? hmm...sounds good. I used to have Pepperettos when I had all the ingredients.... Dr. Pepper and Amaretto. Had an Orange Horizon recently that was good.

well, there's a drink called a B-52. It's a triple layer thingy of kahlua, amaretto and bailey's.

My husband hates amaretto, so he removes it.

He's left with a B-2, which he thinks is amazingly cool. He's so proud of himself.

weird thing is, we had one of these fly right over our commercial jet on our way back east from the LV show.

Well I usually drink vodka and (insert any carbonated beverage or juice) but the other day all my friend had was this fsking huge ass bottle of Bacardi Lemon. The only soda he had in the fridge was Mountain Dew Code red. It is good. I have not heard anyone else drinking it. Hmmmm I guess I will have to give it a name then............ Oh I got it. Code Lemon.

Ok so how did I do? I know it is just two things but I wanna but put some apple pucker in it but have not had the chance......yet

a secret is a thing you tell one other person

one of my girlfriend's goes out deep-sea fishing with some old local fisherman, she's the deckie and she ends up with fish for her family and some peace and quiet for a while. The old salts make their own rum, they gave her a bottle and said"be careful who you give it to, 'cause it could kill you"!!!So we now affectionately call it the "itcan killya" rum. How's that for unique?We had it recently with fruit juice and soda and for that summer touch she had lychees floating around in it....extremely unique.So unique in fact, I only had a sip. Ugh!

But my fave is vodka also, vodka slushies, with half frozen fruit juice. Lovely at the end of a hot summer day.
Unfortunately alcohol = fat with me. I don't indulge much these days, but when I do I make sure it's something really yummy.I'd taken a liking to tequila shots with lemon, but it's an expensive brew over here and one guy said it must be torture to my liver. I have found a pre-mixed tequila drink that is OK, capri margarita...tastes like fanta,deadly.
And then there was the infamous NYE when I invented green kamikaze's...(vodka, midori..I can't recall what else) now if the girls had stuck with that it would have been OK. I didn't make them go opening all that champagne @ midnight. I didn't go chasing non-existant rabbits or have a killer hangover the next day.I like to remember the fun...that was the year The Full Monty came out..we did some laughing, "I believe in miracles...u sexy thang"
Now theres' a good name for a drink.."the full monty" Quick someone invent a recipe for that.

jager and goldschlager. it was kinda gross. for me.


also, my husband likes absinthe. he ordered it on a whim, and now we have three bottles that we pull out to entertain. it's kinda gross.

Well, this is not exactly a drink, but I like it a lot: a huge cup of black coffee and a good amount of Bailey's. Yum yum!

It's not a new thing but who cares?! Always is a good time to have some Bailey's.
