I haven't heard that song; but I want to hear it! But I think he's a Christian. Listen to his previous album, 12. A folkish album with at least 3 or 4 Christian-like songs. "Man of Faith," "Love Traveling Salvation Show." Based on those titles I could assume that he is. But I am not totally sure. Amazing album by the way.

for Neil D. Sweet Caroline was song to my grandmother all the time. Years later my beautiful niece Caroline came along. Now she knows its her song too.

I never liked Neil Diamond but my ex husband did. When we were separated (before the divorce) he took his "girlfriend" (an Ex friend of mine) to a Neil Diamond concert and I took all the Neil Diamond records, cassettes and cd's and smashed them with a hammer in the garage. I felt so much better when I was done.
