Good test for the Celts after a hard fought game last night in SLC.
They handled the Lakers with relative ease in Boston, shouldn't be the case tonight.

I'm not that hopeful about tonight's game. last of a 4 in 5 nights stretch and the LAL were off yesterday. Bynum has been pretty good of late, I'm interested to see how the C's big men deal with him.

Wow, chippy game. Poorly officiated IMO (not in anyone's favor, just poor). Good quality win for the C's...guess that whole "record is meaningless because they haven't gone West yet" is out the window now.

Yeah, it wasn't a swing through the Texas triangle and Phoenix, but still 4 straight wins in 5 nights out west is a pretty good accomplishment.

San Antonio will be tough but when I look at Dallas I see a team the Celts can match up with and beat. The interesting West games for Boston should be the Spurs and Suns.

I'm liking what Paul Pierce is doing out west...

One can't help but be impressed...I mean the 3 losses were by 2 in Orlando, in OT in Cle and by 2 vs. Detroit.
They have yet to be overmatched, haven't really had a letdown game or anything. I just hope it can continue through June.

I think Doc will have to scale back the minutes for some of these guys, which will be interesting because I'm not wild about the back end of that bench...hopefully they keep up the pace and have a chance to rest some guys down the stretch.

Oh and how did I not mention...the Lakers' shorts? Fantastic, old skool. And thank God the game was at 10 because I'm pretty sure I saw Andrew Bynum's junk in those tight things

"the fans are so bored they've even stopped booing."
-mike breen as the knicks fell down 24 points to a sacramento team playing without bibby, martin and artest.

And Isiah says the Knicks will be inactive at the trade deadline:

good. the last thing we need is for that douchebag to go get another terrible player at a terrible contract. i'd rather the team stay terrible and let the contracts expire.

Portland has been fairly remarkable...who needs Greg Oden anyway?

not for nothing... all portland needs oden to be is a good rebounder and a shot blocker. they don't need him to score. 10-15 a night with 12+ boards, 2+ blocks and portland will be set.

they've got plenty of fire power with roy, aldridge and travis outlaw, not to mention an improving martell webster, and two very solid backup bigs in pryzbilla and frye.

the only thing they really should look into upgrading is their point guard situation. blake and jack are doing okay, but they could upgrade it a little. not saying they need steve nash in there, just someone a step up from jarret jack and steve blake.

they're honestly perhaps a year or two away from being possible title contenders. a 2010 nba finals between orlando and portland certainly wouldn't be surprising to me (and would be a damn good matchup, even if no one would watch).

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith picked up some furniture at Raymour & Flanigan in Cherry Hill earlier today and referred to himself in the third person while shopping, says a nearby customer. "Stephen would like the sofa that Stephen was just sitting in," our source quotes Smith, who's been off from the [Philadelphia Inquirer] since his column was stripped in August.
