I guess they want a vet on their team, plus he has an expiring contract.

Maybe they could use him if they have to do a sign-and-trade with Gerald Wallace, if need be.

Latest rumor is Ray Allen to Boston for Wally Szczerbiak, Delonte West, and the #5 pick.

Works for me.

I'd rather they trade Telfair and his gun collection over West. I like West's game a lot more than Telfair's, but that's just me.

Still a great trade for both teams.

The Knicks, sources say, are trying to acquire Randolph in exchange for forward Channing Frye and guard Steve Francis, who has only two seasons left on his contract and has the option to become a free agent after next season. Randolph has four seasons left on his deal worth more than $61 million.

If Francis serves as the big Knicks contract in the deal, Portland would have to add at least one more player to the trade -- guard Dan Dickau is one possibility -- to make the salary-cap math work.
Where's Headache when you need him?

I'm surprised Isiah doesn't want Darius Miles, too.

And Ainge pulls the trigger on perhaps his best deal so far.

Good jeorb, Nets.

Edit: And the Randolph to the Knicks trade just was completed.

I loved how happy Spike Lee was for that trade, I think it's good for both teams, especially the Knicks. Is a Randolph/Curry not the best young frontcourt in the East?

And now Stephen A. and Dickie V are having their annual scream-off. Yes.

And the Spurs will pick another great Euro guy in Tiago Splitter, he's destined to play for that team.

...When he gets his buyout.

So the Celtics roster will now have:
Ray Allen
Allan Ray
Tony Allen

Not sure I want to be an announcer for them this season.

I thought the Celtics did well last night. Not only do I like the trade, but they picked up Big Baby in the second round, who could turn out to be a steal.
