That's how I feel watching Durant play from the first 10 rows every home game.

Dwight Howard is Bill Russell on steroids, no... on speed, no... on crack.

And speaking of good stuff...Celts lose again...Greg Oden Green, a new Crayola color coming in November 2007.

The Boston Celtics are the front-runner to land Memphis center Pau Gasol. The Celtics are dangling talented young forward Al Jefferson and several draft picks. Memphis is desperately trying to cut costs.

:giggle:

something about kevin durant doesn't sit well with me... i, too, think he'll come out after this year... but he shouldn't. he's not ready. guards need more time to develop in college than big men. oden is ready. durant should stay at least one more year. if he comes out too soon i don't think he'll ever tap his full potential.

The Gasol to Boston rumors were shot down here yeaterday...not that that means anything.

Anyway, Grizz had a big win last night, moving closer to overtaking the Celts.

i would get a chuckle if danny ainge made a very isiah like move and traded away his shot in the oden sweepstakes for pao gasol, a nice player, don't get me wrong, but not someone who can carry a franchise.

it would certainly be a good swan song for The Logo.

100% agreement. He's a great player right now in college no doubt. But I hope he stays at least one more year.

I loved Ginobili's hall of fame flop after he blocked Kobe.

My dad and I were watching it, then rewound it with TiVo, and still couldn't find where he hurt himself.

Some flop:

NEW YORK, Jan. 30, 2007 – Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers has been suspended one game without pay for striking San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili in the face, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.
The incident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 28 with 2.7 remaining in the fourth period of the Lakers 96-94 (OT) loss to the Spurs at Staples Center. Bryant will serve his suspension tonight when the Lakers play the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Everything about him sits well with me, but, I wholeheartedly agree that he should stay at least one more year. So much easier to develop while playing 34 minutes a game in college than playing 8 minutes a game in the NBA. Durant needs work, like any 18 year old does. But he should be very good. I do not think Oden is ready, based on the 2 games I've watched, but, he's not far off either.....

KLAC 570 in L.A. just had Kobe Bryant phone in on their radio show. He said no one was arguing the "elbow or arm" at the game (I was there). And no one knows how this got to even be a question of suspension. It's ridiculous.

It seemed too good to be true :sigh:

Oh well, good to see someone snatch The Mamba.

slllllllllow down... as good as he's been, let's let dwight howard at the very least make the playoffs before we start comparing him to the greatest winner in the history of basketball.

Oh I agree man, I was just making an Office joke. But if he resembles any player, I think it's Bill Russell.

So then I take it you don't think Chicago should trade away their piece in the oden sweepstakes(swap option w/NYK) for Gasol either? In Chicago, Gasol would be more the last piece in a puzzle than a guy meant to carry the whole team on his shoulders.

I dunno, I think The Logo is asking for too much for Gasol. I've heard rumors stating that he wants one of Gordon or Deng, PLUS one of Hinrich, Nocioni, Tyrus, or Thabo.

At this point, I think I'd rather include the pick in a Gasol trade than Deng or Gordon...they've both been playing veeeery well.

My ideal package would be: Tyrus, PJ Brown, Duhon, NYK Pick(Top 2 Protected) FOR Gasol.

Celtics lose....theeeeeee Celtics lose.

And Kobe should be fired up at the Garden tonight after being suspended and unable to play in the Garden last night.
Go Kobe.

your trade works with the cap numbers (sorry, can't toss in sweetney without taking someone back)

but jerry west shouldn't do that trade unless he doesn't think he can get anything else. the knicks pick doesn't appear to be a high one anymore... and besides, i don't know if you can protect a swap right.

what is he getting? he's a 8 to 15 draft pick and a bunch of dog shit for a 20 point per game guy. makes no sense.

i will just say this... i have seen/played/coached in a thousands of basketball games in my life. i'm not saying kobe swung his arm like that on purpose. what i am saying is that i have never seen anyone do that... ever.

so while all these kiss ass guys on espn are talking about how he's clearing space or that it was an instinct or whatever other garbage tim legler wants to spew out of his mouth... if pressed, i can gaurantee you they can't think of another incident like that, either.

player's don't swing their arm back at full force for no reason.

perhaps kobe was suffering from the george costanza arm tick and needs to see mayor dinkins' personal doctor.

i loved how greg anthony was talking about how the league shouldn't have suspended him because of kobe's spotless reputation... yea. spotless... other than the alleged rape, complete out of controll ego that drove apart a championship team and being called a whiney little bitch by his coach in a book, he's done absolutely nothing to deserve a spotty reputation.

and it's not like he's swung his arms at another player's face before...

yea... come to think of it, kobe's never done anything like that before. why would the nba think he did it on purpose? for shame... :tsk:

Does this mean Raja Bell is The Mongoose?

He clearly pisses off The Mamba, which makes him one of my favorite players to watch.

Good Sources there. I enjoyed the video's.

I forgot how good of a shot Childs got on him there. And, the one I remember the most is Mike Miller.

Miller did not mean to hit him in the head. There's another angle from under the basket that shows what I mean way better. But Kobe had to get him back didn't he. Because he's Kobe Bryant.

Kobe is a punk. I have never liked him or respected him as a person(at least a person I've seen on tv) or a player. It started right away. Anyone who comes into the NBA and says, "I won't play for the team that drafted me", I do not like.

Lakers 111, Celitics 98

A well rested, angry Kobe. (Rumor is he elbowed a cab driver on the way to the game, a popcorn vendor pregame, Phil Jackson at halftime and the locker room towel boy after the game just to get his quota met)

Next up, the only real hoop team from LA Friday.
Go Clips.

I'm gonna laugh when the Celtics don't end up getting the #1 pick.

I can still remember the stupid look on M.L.'s face at the Duncan lottery when the Celts logo came out for the 3rd pick and not the 1st.
