I'm talking pre 1970s here, who were your favorite leading men?

My favorites:
1. James Stewart
2. Cary Grant
3. Humphry Bogart
4. Clark Gable
5. Gregory Peck

Legends

Cary Grant and Clark Gable
Those men could make me swoon in like five seconds. Anything they said sounded so romantic and classy.
Definitley legends!

Why has nobody mentioned Steve McQueen yet?

Also - In no particular order...

Omar Sharif
Yul Brynner
Rock Hudson
James Dean
Tony Curtis
Richard Burton

One of his classic movies, 'The Towering Inferno' comes to my mind here.
And of course, along with that movie comes another classic leading man, Paul Newman !!
