I have the weirdest, sweetest memory of What's The Frequency, Kenneth. Last summer, the morning I woke up to see the Flaming Lips, that's the song that was on my alarm.

That opening riff is magical

Green is the most essential of those. Than Fables, it's just a really good album. You could live without Reveal, although there are a couple really good songs on there (Beat A Drum ). Don't even bother with Around the Sun. There are some people here who would probably try to convince you that album's worth it, but it really isn't. Just trust me there.

LemonMelon, from that list, I'd get Fables. It's the most consistent of the albums listed. And Green is getting unfairly knocked around here, I think. It's a very good record.

Tour Film! It features the scariest stage look Michael Stipe has ever produced.

I love their cover of the Velvet Underground's "After Hours" that plays during the closing credits. REM having a little fun =
