great thread idea!

It's cool to see which States & Countires USA'rs have visited.
And Visa Versa [from our perspective] what countiries other Internationals have visited and which USA states they've visited [if any].

Oh, it's not like i've traveled SO much.....but some....

+++Living in one of the Big Countries traveling to different states can be such a riveting experience in itself ~~when the cities have really different architectural/cultural influences// population mixes// geogeraphic & climate differences etc!

Same/similar feelings I 'd guess for Russians/Chineese/Ppeople From India, Canadian & Austrailian in particular.....
*******************************

USA States/Cities I've visited.....{cue up "In a Big Country" by Big Country}...since i've gone to see Both Cities & CoutrysideBorn/bred/live in NYC

Consider also the the emotional/ interests differences [sometimes] between traveling on Vacation when you are a kid /or visiting relatives VS chosing to visit those relatives & places Freely as an Adult-----

New York State {Family vac & Adult}
New Jersey - {Relatives & Adult} Newark/Hoboken + other towns
New Hampshire {Fam Vac}
Florida { Fam VAc5 yrs old - I do remmebere a fair amount like my FIRST Palm tree! }
Vermont {Fam Vac}
Maine {Fam Vac}
Massechuesetts {Fam Vac & Adult}- Boston
Conneticut {Relatives}
Pennsylvania {Fam Vac & Adult}-Philadelphia
Georgia {adult} - Atlanta & Athens
Michigan {adult} - Hotel outskirts/East Langsing
New Mexico {adult} - Alberquerqui
Arizona {adult} - Flagstaff/ Grand Canyon
Navajo Nation{adult} - Chinle/Canyon Deiche <sp>/Monument Valley
Hopi Nation {adult} - The 3 Mesas
California {adult}- SF/LA
South Dakota {adult} - Rapid City/ The Back Hills
Colorado {adult} - Denver/ Colorado Springs
Delaware {adult} - Baltimore
Washington DC {Fam Vac/Relatives, Adult}

I passed through a bunch of States on the Bus to gert to the above places esp as an adult

ANd JUST BACJ from {the Commonwealth <for n ow> of Puerto Rico/San Jaun
{I plan to go back-- hopefully around 2 yrs or less, this was a gift vacastion}

+++++++++++++++++++

Counties
Oh, Canada! {Fam VAc} Monteal & Toronto

The 2 Native Nations ARE their own countries

*************************

Lovely Photosd Peeps!

cool story Sula, fashion copliments!

It's what they call "rasta" braids (in Mali at least) my hair mixed with artificial hair and then I bought some wooden beads and slipped them up to the top of each braid in the front. Incidentally, on that trip to Timbuktu, I was formally introduced to the President and First Lady of Mali, and the First Lady complimented me on that hairstyle. (Within Mali, she's known to be quite a fashion plate, so it was a huge compliment for me. lol)
oooh how cool to be complimented by the First Lady! I'm totally gonna jock your style. There's a little shop called Beadsburg in the next town, my friend owes me some cash so I'm gonna get her to buy me wooden beads with it instead.

I did a lot of inter- railing round Europe on a shoestring when I was a student and then visited the States a few times with work. One time after we took several weeks off and toured round lots of places which was brilliant and explains the high State count. Nowadays with a couple of kids travel is generally limited to family hols in the UK and the Med but I have long term plans!
