Well, I've been here in Mali for coming on to 3 months now. If you've read any of my recent journal entries, you'll know that I'm really enjoying my time here and am very happy. I found a picture that someone took during our Swearing-In Ceremony, so I thought I would attempt to post it. This is me as Koumba. :D

Wow that's an awesome picture of you Sula!! I love your hair.

I'd like to add it to the photo thread list if that's ok with you :)

Hey Sula!

I love the regular field studies you send me. Please keep the good work up. I?ll try to get to Mali (depends on holiday possibilities at work).. and I really hope we can meet there sometime in the next 2 years.

Do not forget that often, often I think of what you?re doing right now. I?m happy when you?re happy! :)

edit: there?s not only one nice pic... I just noticed the one in your sig hRhR

oh sula, you look so fine, positively glowing with health.
me being me, I zoomed in on the fabric, beautiful colour and design.
even my hub knows of the good work you are doing. he is reading Thor Hyderdahl's books at the moment and read me an excerpt about a peace corp worker in Africa( some years ago) who had an understanding with the locals and was going about his work of making wells even though there was war all around him.
blessed are the peace makers
we truly admire what you are doing
be safe:hug:
