Happy birthday Bonochick!

As for what to listen to, you can never go wrong with Mr. Sexy Brett Anderson himself, so Suede.

P.S. That acutally scarily resembles my "to buy" list.

Happy Birthday!

Toad the Wet Sprocket.... listen to Toad... Pale is next to impossible to find anymore. Most of them are, I think they're going out of print and not being reissued, even the compilation. My cousin the big Toad fan, who's seeing them tonight at the last show of their reunion tour, told me this. Pale is great, but if you want a bit more energetic Toad, go get or d/l Dulcinea, Coil, or PS (A Toad Retrospective). For somewhere in the middle, go with Fear. And get Glen Phillips solo album, Abulum....

TOAD....

BC, have you met this girl in real life and become friends with her or do you know her only from the discussion board?

I've only heard a few by them. "Windmills" is my favourite so far. It's good to hear someone reccommend them. Maybe I'll look into getting an album.

Re: My CD Collection Has Suddenly Doubled!! Where Should I Begin?

Wow, ummm...lots of good music there!!

Ok, just at quick glance (i know i missed some, i just browsed), here's what i see that i like the most anyway...
I'll even separate them by what I'd listen to VERY first and try to add some variety...
:
Starsailor: “Love Is Here”
Nick Drake: “Bryter Layter” (all are good though!)

:
Jeff Buckley: “Grace” (although I'm sure if i listened to it more, i'd totally be )
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club: “BRMC”
Howie Day: “Australia”
Sigur Ros: “Sigur Ros”
Beck: “Sea Change”

:
Rufus Wainwright: “Poses”
The Strokes: “Is This It”
The Vines: “Highly Evolved”

After "Grace," I'd go right to Tom Waits' "Heart Attack & Vine." The contrast is brilliant!
