That was in.. Grade 8.. so.. 1995 I guess.

We had tank wars, wolfenstein... something else. Oh, Concentration and Family Feud.

Teachers didn't care.. kept us occupied.

And I guess Wolfenstein was a little bit historical...

it just meant that we thought Hitler was a half man/half borg nutball.

TORNADO!!!!!!!!!!

 Michigan City took extensive damage :( I realize I don't still live there, but that place is my home

I love those old text adventure games

Some of them were downright hilarious

*kick the tree*

*why would you want to kick a tree?*

And really allowed the use of imagination.

We used to go over to my uncles to play Commodore 64. Oh yea. The Olympic games or whatever it was called was hilarious. I loved it. I'd dive off a cliff and the poor fellow would always fall into a jagged rock.. or the caber toss dude would wind up getting hit in the head with the log and pounded into the ground.

I loved Text Based games !

I'm really sad right now the more I think about MC Getting tore up by lightening. It's just a casino, but it's kind of a highlight of MC, and now it might be gone, I can't stand the though

:yikes:

Frightening stuff. I'm very intrigued by weather, thunderstorms especially which is odd because I'm really quite petrified of them. I've always wanted to see a tornado from a safe distance, just to say I did. But I can't imagine being somewhere, knowing it's coming , and having nowhere to go.

They really were awesome. Zork! "It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue." Half the fun was imagining what a grue would actually look like. Most modern computer games leave nothing to the imagination.

I live in a city 12 miles from Michigan City now, and mom's family, and all my friends still live there, and mom can't get a hold of any of her family

Called my friends at work (It's also in MC), they're all ok, but waiting out the storm, and they said the lobby is flooding :lmao: We're getting our annual inspection by corporate tomorrow too XDXD

I wonder if Rammstein are going to release a new album this year as well... :hmm:

Usually they release their albums along the same times as U2.

I still secretly hope that someday, my two favourite bands will share a stage

Oh okay, I know

Highly unlikely there.

But hey, you never know!

There was a Monty Python and the Holy Grail one. My friend had it on a Commodore. I don't think we understood what Monty Python was at the time, so we didn't know what to do.

Do you remember having to wait like 5 minutes when you went from one room to another on those old Commodore games?
