If he'd cut his hair back to the way it looked on the Rising tour, and got rid of teh damn soul patch he'd STILL be hot at 58.

Sadie said she couldn't work out
What it was all about
And so she let go
Now Sadie's on the street
And the people she meets you know...
She tried to be a good girl and a good wife
Raise a good family
Lead a good life...
It's not good enough
She got herself up on the 48th floor
Gotta find out
Find out what she's living for!

I've always LOVED this verse.

Long Walk Home! I LOVE this song because this is a fucking beautiful lyric:

My father said "Son, we're lucky in this town,
It's a beautiful place to be born.
It just wraps its arms around you,
Nobody crowds you and nobody goes it alone"

"Your flag flyin' over the courthouse
Means certain things are set in stone.
Who we are, what we'll do and what we won't"

that's what's sad!

thankfully my dad's done both those things (his hair is short and he hasn't attempted facial hair since i cried at the sight of his mustache - seriously!) so he is still pretty good looking

he was HOT when he was my age. woo.
