The last verse is so sad...

When we found the things we loved,
They were crushed and dying in the dirt.
We tried to pick up the pieces,
And get away without getting hurt,
But they caught us at the state line,
And burned our cars in one last fight,
And left us running burned and blind...

aww yeah

i'm not going down on my knees begging you to adore me
can't you see it's miseryyyy and torture for meeee
when i'm misunderstood
try as hard as you can, i've tried as hard i could
to make you see
how important it is for meeeeee

here is a plea
from my heart to you
nobody knows as well as you
you know how hard it is for me to shake the disease
it takes hold of my tongue in situations like these

understand meeeeee
understand meeeeee
understand meeeeee

I saw someone wearing a World Youth Day one today. WYD07 was the logo, and when I saw that, I thought "That actually doesn't look so bad, for official god merchandise".

Then the girl wearing it turned around, and I honestly nearly died laughing. The name on the back was Benedict and the number was 16. THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN WEAR THAT SERIOUSLY.

I wish I could find a picture. I barely contained my laughter.

And I think I finally actually understand that song. It's about her dad's mother, who was emotionally abusive.

"in these jeans of his with her name still on it"

jeans = genes, his = her father's, her = his mother

some people have to be
permanently together
lovers devoted to
each other forever
now i've got things to do
and i've said before that i know you have too
when i'm not there
in spirit i'll be there

People are always catching Bruce at the state line I've noticed,

But yes it is a sad lyric.

I wanna smash the faces
Of those beautiful boys
Those Christian boys
So you can make me come
That doesn't make you Jesus!

Hey, sweet, HG of Roy and HG fame is on GNW this week!
I'm concerned we're in for blanket Kiwi coverage on TV One. They've got a sports extra channel for extra Olympic coverage on Freeview (as in, buy a digital decoder for two extra channels outside of the Olympics), and they'll put big events on the extra channel and we get Kiwis finishing dead last in events on the real free-to-air TV.
