Movie scenes that make you uncomfortable...

The stabbing scene in Saving Private Ryan.

Sex scenes for sure.. if you're not watching alone.

I once watched American Beauty with my mom.

Um, yeah... 85% of that movie, not so good to watch with a parental unit.

I hear that...

I remember watching Dances With Wolves with my parents when I was younger...

There was a sex scene (which I don't recall being overly graphic or anything) but that was the first time I can remember thinking "I should not be watching something like this with my mom and dad"

I agree with you Carlos on the Saving Private Ryan scene as well, in the disturbing category I would add the Sloth victim from Seven, that scene still gives me the heebie jeebies

A lot of the more violent moments of Schindler's List.

OMG, I just remember seeing the movie The Omen III (The Final Conflict).....

...and I used to love those movies, so I asked my mom to take me to see it, but she hated going to them......so, I finally get her to go and there is a scene where Damien (Sam Neill's character) has sex with a lady! SON OF A BITCH! RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY MOM!

I started to slide down the seat in the most uncomfortable moment of my life.

My mom just looked at me and said; "That's why I hate going to the movies!" She was pissed

Big time, just thinking about it makes me cringe.

The rape scene in "A Time to Kill" makes me really uncomfortable.

Any scene in a clockwork orange - that whole film is uncomfortable. Brilliant, though.

The beginning of that movie especially, with the fight/near-rape.

Good call on American History X, too. How about the ball-whipping in Casino Royale? Or the blood test scene in The Thing? That makes me uncomfortable as hell, but the pay-off is so worth it.

Ugh...yeah, that was definitely uncomfortable. My mom refused to watch it.

For me, there are very few things more disturbing than watching that rat/bear/dog creature give head to that guy in the Shining.
I mean, fuck.

Casino Royale was just airing this weekend, and I avoided that whole scene when he's in the chair

I remember going to see Jerry Macguire in the theatre when it came out. I was in high school and my dad and I went as a kind of father-daughter activity. Oh, did I ever want to disappear when Tom Cruise and Kelly Preston were going at it on screen. Big big screen. Loud. No escaping or pretending to miss it. *shudder*
