I like earlier Police better than later, and I find that a lot of Sting's solo material strays too far into adult contemporary for my liking.

Some of it definitely does, but some of it is very good, too.

I gotta say, the few things i've heard of solo sting I've liked, but I won't deny the Adult Contemporaryness of it all. I happen to have an embarrassing weak spot for AC

"Only the Lonely" -> "Love My Way" is shaky, but that into "The Killing Moon" was good, methinks.
