I'm not a big Bright Eyes fan, but one of my best friends is.

I don't find alot of his music to be EMO ZOMGGG, but he's generally regarded that way.

The Clash (self explanitory if you know their span of music. musically speaking, they grew more in 7 years than any band could ever wish to do in a life time

Suicide (way before their time. they were just so wierd)

Talking Heads (i swear i was gonna put this before reading page three)

The Germs (if you could undestand what Darby was saying he would be a genious lyricist)

there are a lot of others i'm sure.
