Don't ball players realize that if they come out and admit that yeah, they took HGH, that they don't get nearly as much heat as when they deny it to death, and inevitably get caught?

See: Barry Bonds and Jason Giambi. See also: Roger Clemens and Andy Pettite.

People are much more forgiving of a cheater who admits it than they are of a cheater who acts like everybody's out to get them.

See: Bill Belichick.

btw on a side note Citi Field really looks spectacular from the outside thus far... as long as they don't royaly fuck up the interior this is going to be one hell of a park.

...I'm split on who's the better team here. On one hand the Phillies have intangibles like team work, decent fielding, strong pitching...on the other the Mets have power, speed, and great starting pitching...I really think this is a toss up right now. If Pedro comes back and wins 15+ games, the Mets could run away with it...maybe.

That's actually sort of what I've been thinking about with the Mariners--if Bedard and Hernandez can both stay completely healthy, they could both win 20. And then if Batista can win 15 again like last season.... They could just run away with the American league west.

they were a last month choke away from a 7+ game victory last year, and they added the best pitcher in baseball... barring a rash of injuries there is no reason why the mets shouldn't win the NL East.

One thing Phillies have over the Mets (Outside of the 2007 NL East title) would be the ballpark food. You will NOT find better food at a ballpark than what you find in Philly. I loved going to the games last year JUST to eat (I mean, I love baseball too, but DAMN, you really can't go wrong with a cheeseteak or a Schmitter and/or Crab fries).

Let's see if the Mets could top that!

CBP has some great food, agreed. Shit name, though, I hate it.

I'm with Headache, the Mets have no reason not to win right now. Phils should be focused on the Wild Card unless the Mets falter.

Citi Field isn't much better. Anytime you sell off the naming rights, it is going to have a bad ring to it. Even when the name isn't sold, you could have a crappy name: Hubert H. Humphrey Dome.

I think it would have been so much better as Citizens Park. The Bank thing ruins the flow. At least we could pretend it wasn't corporate and was for the citizens.
