for some reason, I don't think Bonds will be an "average" player. He'll either hit home runs at an unbelievable clip or he'll bat like .200 this year....Feast or famine, don't know which yet.

David Ortiz is without a doubt the top clutch hitter in the game at this moment.
why no one has plugged david ortiz with a fastball to the ribs is beyond me.

Actually in Saturday night's game, Ortiz was served up some chin music by Erik Bedard (not plunked, but sent sprawling), he then proceeded to hit a 410 foot moon shot to center, unfortunately to the triangle which is 420 feet from home.
He did homer later in the game though.

Watching the end of the Mets/Braves game last night on the deuce, I had one thought:
Why didn't Tom Glavine grab a bat after Willie Randolph finally got his head out of his ass and yanked Braden "Knock me for a" Looper and beat Looper senseless?
Headache, Numb1075 and all the other Mets fans...my wallet feels your pain this morning. You'll never make the playoffs while that schlub is at the back end of your bullpen.
