Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root - solo

Michael Glabicki is the lead singer in Rusted Root. Besides a crazy voice, he's also a pretty damn good guitarist at times. He played a solo set at the end of the last Rusted Root show I saw and impressed me. He has his first solo album out--I believe it's called 'Uprooted'--but I haven't heard it.

Looks like he does another version of SMOMY on the solo album. At first, I was a little disappointed to see that. Cool song, but I figured that if he really wants to break free of Rusted Root, he'll have to quit hanging onto it by covering that song, naming the album "Uprooted," etc. However, on his website, it looks like he's doing the solo stuff just for fun & to try out some new material.
