I merged the best from Bruce's Human Touch and Lucky Town into one kick ass cd and this is what I got:

1. Roll Of The Dice
2. Better Days
3. Living Proof
4. I Wish I Were Blind
5. Book Of Dreams
6. Soul Driver
7. Real World
8. All Or Nothing At All
9. Man's Job
10. Lucky Town
11. Local Hero
12. If I Should Fall Behind
13. Leap Of Faith
14. The Long Goodbye
15. Souls Of The Departed
16. The Big Muddy
17. Human Touch
18. Leavin' Train
19. My Beautiful Reward

The whole Lucky Town cd is there, as I don't think there's a "bad" song in it. There are 8 songs from Human Touch and as you can see Leavin' Train is in neither of those albums. It's a song Bruce wrote during the Human Touch/Lucky Town sessions and didn't used it, I felt that while I was doing the cd part needed a rocker and the songs left from HT were not good enough for me (like Gloria's Eyes or 57 Channels) so I added Leavin' Train, which is a kick ass rock 'n roll song. If Bruce had released 57 Channels the way he plays it live with the wah-wah intro, the collage of voices and stuff then that song would definitely be in this cd but the version he released with just his voice and the bass is my favorite. I've listened to this cd and it rocks. :)

A mix trying to prove to someone I know (who is very set in their ways) that rock music can be beautiful and worthwhile. I'm not sure I've succeeded, or that I had a chance at all, but here it is. I had to fight against having all ballads, so some of the songs were chosen for their uptempo nature. Angie is on there because of his stunning voice more so than for the beauty of the song. Clocks was chosen over so many other Coldplay songs because it is more upbeat. Most of the others speak for themselves. Or so I hope.

1. U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name
2. Angie Aparo - Spaceship
3. The Cure - Pictures of You
4. Duran Duran - Ordinary World
5. 3 Colours Red - Beautiful Day
6. Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts
7. Concrete Blonde - Little Wing
8. The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize??
9. Coldplay - Clocks
10. Manic Street Preachers - If You Tolerate This, Your Children Will Be Next

Wow, you all have great musical tastes here! no, seriously, I'm glad to see many of you like the same non-U2 bands that I do :p especially Jack In The Box and Bonochick

I don't make mix CDs much anymore because of my mp3 player, that serves as one giant mix CD for me...but I did recently make a mix for a friend:

1. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Crosstown Traffic

20. Bad Religion - 'Sinister Rouge'
21. The Cooper Temple Clause - 'Been Training Dogs'
22. Street Dogs - 'Tale of Mass Deception'

(I just now realized how funny the last 2 tracks are next to each other title & band name wise!)

the fact that you put the street dogs song on that mix makes me happier than it probably should. yes, the last 2 do look funny next to each other.
