I saw it yesterday also. A sad film and not your typical Oliver Stone film. When the towers collapsed my jaw dropped and was thinking of how the people that day who died went through.

I think it is. But many will take it differently.

There were about 40 people in a screening room capacity of 300.

I don't know what to think of this film. For me, it seems too soon. It seems to me that every tragedy in real life is taken as an opportunity by Hollywood to somehow make money.

But some money from this is going to 9/11 related charities I know...

but still

I made the decision last night with my bf that we are going to go and see this movie when he visits next month.

Sorry but if this terroist act was committed anywhere else america would of made it soon after it happened , just to cash in while wounds are still fresh.

People are still grieving but this film surely isnt for entainment purposes , it reminds us all of what danger we face every time we leave our houses and i think it comes at a great time , especially what happened around the UK today.

Maybe some people will also avoid it because of the events of yesterday

(Reuters) Oliver Stone's new film, "World Trade Center," got off to a promising start at the box office on Wednesday, grossing better-than-expected receipts of $4.4 million in its first day, Paramount Pictures executives said on Thursday.

They added that if the pace continued, the film about the battle to save two policemen trapped under tons of rubble in the September 11 attacks could bring in more than $20 million through its opening weekend -- a figure that would exceed expectations.

The $65 million movie, which received several strong reviews, is the first big-budget feature to be made about the suicide hijackings, although a smaller budget film "United 93" last spring grossed $31.5 million.

Many industry experts questioned whether moviegoers are ready for films about the disaster which is still fresh and painful in the minds of many Americans.

Unfortunately I believe that disasters such as 9/11 and what almost happened yesterday are going to become an all too common occurrence. Personally it doesn't change my mind about going and see the WTC movie.
