J.J. knows what he's doing. I can't wait to see 1-18-08 / Cloverfield or Star Trek being returned to glory.

Still dying to see the Cloverfield trailer.

And Star Trek should be awesome.

I have faith in J.J. The LOST pilot is one of the greatest things I've ever seen on TV. He knows what he's doing. You just have to understand how close DT is to my heart. The expectations are at rabid fanboy levels.

Same with me and Star Trek.

Transformers is also a good gauge as to how Orci and Kurtzman are going to handle the Star Trek lore. I thought they handled the transformers well, left some good stuff for fanboys while still being accessible to a wide audience.

As I've been saying before, if Star Trek is handled as well as Lost, especially with flashbacks throughout Kirk's life + his first mission with Spock, goddamn. That is going to be awesome.

And for what it's worth, I though JJ did a pretty good job with MI:3 as well. I like everything he did with photography, pacing, style, etc. It's just that the script wasn't that great. But for what he did on his Motion Picture debut, I though it was solid.

Star Trek will be the real test though. It's an epic film, and has just as much pressure, if not more, than and DT project.

MI:3 was a good film, and what was great is he brought his Alias-style into the project, making it the best one of the bunch, in my opinion.

Which is why I'm hoping he brings that Lost-style into Star Trek. The two seem almost made for each other.

Here Die Hard 4 had a rating of 15...if it was a PG-13 in the states, I wonder then if it was a different cutwe got here?

Saw it yesterday and I thought it was excellent.

As Borat would say I want to have sex with Megan Fox's Vagine.

On another not Transformers was great, best summer film so far, Ratatoulle comes in second.

I always enjoy the Pixar movies, but I wait until DVD to see them.

I'd rather pay 8 bucks to see John McClane blow everything up than an animated rat making soup, you know?

I'm pretty disappointed that Michael Bay redesigned the Transformers to look like spikey fanged cliche monsters. The lack of personalities for the majority of them wasn't good either...

Cloverfield looks immense though.
