There has not been a new band commercially released that I have liked, since Coldplay. All the new music on the mainstream is garbage to me. I listen to there lyrics, and its all garbage, what they write about, what they sing about. Theres not a band out there for the right reasons, that same fire that U2 had when they started out. U2 had a purpose-( To make a diffrence in the world, to inspire, and to reshape a world in need. ) In my personal opinion, all the new music(commercially speaking) is garbage.

Just now I realise it was yesterday the VMA's were, right? Totally missed anything on it (who were supposed to perform, etc.) and I haven't seen any news today who won what. I haven't missed it though, at the moment I don't care.

Hopefully, there'll be some U2 at the EMA's (Europe Music Awards).

Granted, I don't know your music tastes, but there is actually alot of good music out right now, only it's not really getting alot of play on MTV. You just have to look for it. Say for instance The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, Muse, Snow Patrol, The Libertines -- I could go on and on.

The popular music - like Good Charlotte, Yellowcard and Hoobstankyass are garbage if you are likening "commercially released" to mainstream music.

That said, the VMAs this year were the most BORING I have ever seen. I honestly have yet to understand the appeal of Usher and Beyonce. Jay-Z's "99 Problems" was fantastic, and I have always loved OutKast, but grrrr. So much boredom in one night! What the hell was up with the Christina A/Nelly duet? YOWZA!!!

It was incredibly boring!!! There was nothing controversial, nothing stood out, all of the jokes fell flat and were stupid, (what was up with the Jimmy fallon/Gary thing?). The main thing that stood out to me was when the Kerry daughters were booed. If you disagree with their father, fine. Don't boo the kids.

I only watched about an hour and a half of it, and I caught the Polyphonic Spree's performance. I love that song...but I now realize I can't stand to watch them perform.

Mtv Awards

I like the show punke'd but sometimes the jokes go a little too far.

MTV awards review....why 'cause I am bored and I feel like postings something.
GOOD CHARLOTTE - Bunch of retards with their whole "in the history of history" babble while presenting. If only these goofs could see the replay would they know how retarded they were.

WAYNE C - I love the bubble.

JESSICA SIMPSON - Genre not appealing but she can sing. BTW, what the fuck was with everyone waving their cell phones?

Alicia Keys/Stevie Wonder - Beautiful duet that was ruined by Lenny Kravitz.

Outkast - Good to see some nicely dressed gentleman instead of those trying to flash the "bling bling". However their performance at the end sucked.

POLYPHONIC SPREE - Nice surprise but the performance was short and it kinda sucked 'cause they didn't sing the full song.
