i hate shoveling our driveway because that's what the plows do.

we had icy winter-mix snow a couple weeks ago, and i had to use a spade to clear away the stuff the plows packed at the driveway entrance.

No snow in Birmingham, but a high of only 37. I have a virus (shingles), don't need to risk getting the flu.

We got AT LEAST 2 Feet here in southern MA. I walked my dog this morning after shoveling out a little area for him, and he insisted on going to his "toilet" as we call it. I was up to my waist in the back yard (I'm 5'9)... he would hop, disappear, hop up again, disappear. It was like watching a dolphin swim - it was actually really funny. It's the drifting that's killing us all, and the wind. I just got a digital camera yesterday, my husband has it out now while he's plowing. I'll be back with pics if I figure out how to post them!! it's been so long since I did that!

I had to remove a window from my storm door to push enough snow from my front door so I could get outside!!!

My husband just called... he's made $300 in an hour so far just driving up and down streets , people are flagging him down to stop and do their driveways.

Woo hoo! We're getting another blizzard tonight. Which means, I could potentially miss my math test tomorrow. Hee, kiss my butt, logarithms!

Hurray for elderly neighbors who own snowblowers, who're only too happy to allow their "strapping young 30somethings" next door borrow it in exchange for clearing their stairs and cars...

we don't own one because normally we don't need one, but this is just ridiculous. we got a good 2 feet and then it blew around and drifted in places, it's almost 4 feet in some areas of my driveway

I see it!! U2 helps us find your car once again!

My brother and I just spent the last three hours digging out. I can just now feel my toes again. Here are some "before" shots:

The 6-foot-tall Jim up to his knees in snow (he had to jump off the front steps)

Our cars all buried:

Our house is a very very very snowy house:

Spot my dad's car!! Hint: it's under the snowbank!
