The Good Deeds thread

This is a thread where you can recognize a good deed someone has done for you, whether the person is from interference or elsewhere.

Yes this is kind of cheesy but sometimes feel good threads are needed in this dark damp world of ours.

I will start off by thanking someone named Sybil who doesn't really post here, but saw one of my posts in the What do you Want forum and e-mailed me offering a San Diego GA ticket for face value. I couldn't believe it and am very grateful, hence the good deed thread.

So go ahead and lets hear some good deeds done to you.

A few years ago I was at Subway for lunch. My mother was in the hospital having surgery that day. I was an emotional wreck. I went to pay for my meal and noticed I was a few dollars short. I was so upset by this and told the guy behind the counter that I will just take the sandwich. A nice man who was in line behind me and was on his cell phone must have heard me and told the guy on his phone to hold on a minute. He told the guy behind the counter he would pay for my meal in addition to his. He did not have to do that at all. I said thank you and he smiled and went back to his conversation.
That made me feel so much better.

Since my mom passed away, I have been looking after 2 of her sisters who have health problems. They never had children, and so they have no one to care for them. I do shopping for them and if they need to go see a doctors I take them. It's not a 24/7 thing, but I try to be there for them when they need something.

Today this stupid chick cut me off while driving. I wanted to cut her some slack, so I only shook my head like her driving was causing me sadness. To repay my compassion she mouthed "Fuck you".

I got warm fuzzies.....

I want to thank IMIMW for making my year and taking me along to see to U2 in Chicago on the 9th and 10th!

Zootomic, for hooking me up with the 3rd leg sale.

All the Octagoners for giving me daily laughs!

Digsy, for being my hookup for U2 products only avaiable across the pond!

All of the wonderful Interferencers who were great about my father's potential cancer. It's very comforting to know if that's what it turns out to be I have support here.

I had a very nice deed done for me today.

And when I was in my car accident, I remember that this couple stopped to make sure I was okay and waited with me until my stepmother came.

My mom is giving me hotel money for NYC next month because she knows how high our moving expenses are.

When the tickets went on sale here in So Cal, I saved a place in line at Ticketmaster for this older man while he went to get coffee and he gave me a $20 Starbucks card just for doing that!

Once when I was in line for U2 tickets, these guys saved my place in line while I went to the ladies' room.

True story.

I would like to thank good ole Chizip, who was thoughtful enough to get 2 GA tickets for the 3rd leg ATL show instead of St. Louis like he needed so he could sell one to me and then trade one for himself.....

THANK YOU CHIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When i was in Larnaca Airport, my sister was supposed to come and pick me up, but she fell asleep and forgot all about me. It was definitely the worst night of my life, it was freezing cold, I must have looked like a lunatic, because i had nowhere to go and it was 3.00 AM, i got all teary-eyed and started to cry. (Gosh, im such a loser! ) But there was this lovely finnish girl who came up to me and asked what happened and she said that i could stay at her friends place for the night if my sister doesn´t show up. And then she stayed with me for THREE HOURS until my sister finally got her ass out of bed!!!

I have her phone number and i call her quite often, i still can´t
believe that a random person can be so kind, i mean it was the
middle of the night, im sure there was some place she was
supposed to be, but she stayed with me.
