I would also like to thank IMIMW for giving me a Boston ticket! It is much appreciated.

I also want to thank someone else for being such an awesome U2 fan. and is tagging along with me to three shows. Woohoo!

It was definitely the worst night of my life, it was freezing cold, I must have looked like a lunatic, because i had nowhere to go and it was 3.00 AM, i got all teary-eyed and started to cry. (Gosh, im such a loser! ) But there was this lovely finnish girl who came up to me and asked what happened and she said that i could stay at her friends place for the night if my sister doesn´t show up. And then she stayed with me for THREE HOURS until my sister finally got her ass out of bed!!!

I have her phone number and i call her quite often, i still can´t
believe that a random person can be so kind, i mean it was the
middle of the night, im sure there was some place she was
supposed to be, but she stayed with me.
wow that is great

that reminds me when i took a trip to london from venice for a u2 concert one time when i was studying in europe. i saw airfare to london was a lot cheaper from milan, so i thought it would be easy to take a train there and fly for less money.

well it was the biggest pain in the butt getting to london. i had to take a boat to the train station, a train to milan, a bus to the airport, the plane to london, the train in from the airport to london, the metro to earls court, and when i got there i didnt know where my hotel was so i was just kind of wandering the streets. this was with me lugging 2 months worth of luggage around, not the best planned trip.

so i was exhausted wandering the streets of london carrying two heavy bags around after over 12 hours of travelling that day, when some random guy came up to me and asked if i needed help. i asked if he knew where the hotel was and he said it was a couple miles down the road and i should take a cab there. he then grabbed both of my bags and walked me to a place where cabs would stop for people, and he waited with me until i was able to get a cab.

because of that guy and his good deed i will always have good memories of london and it will always be one of my favorite places.

great thread

I'd like to thank all of Interference first, for giving me a place to come to each day to laugh, chat, and talk (obsess) about U2.

I'd like to thank my good friends here (you all know who you are) for making me laugh, doling out sound advice when I need it, and all the good times we've shared.

And to all others who have done good deeds for yours truly lately, I owe you a Guinness when I see you.

I'd like to thank Trevster for holding tickets for me and hunting me down in interference to tell me that he had extra tickets for the Vancouver concert.

My Mother does nice things for me quite often. She's taking me to the (hopefully warm and sunny) beach next month.

How about the other good deed related to that???

I do good deeds like handing out a $5 spot here and there to those on the street...open and close doors, etc. but none like the one that GTA Sam did for us in Toronto...

At the inTOthe heart fanfest, "Sam, aka turi001" took time from his day and hectic fanfest schedule to drive to Pearson Airport where he picked up Mr. BAW, BAW, Doozer and JesseU2...stuffed us into his brand new compact (what a site!) and took us directly to the host hotel saving us a near $75 cab fare....And then he refused payment or other gratuity...he went beyond the call of duty...You're a sport, Sam; that deed will not be forgotten!

Something that need to be said. (Please read!)

i just want to make everyone aware to two acts of kindness and generosity i have recieved from two members of this board.

EP & America- after the nightmare of a presale for the first leg, i had pretty much given up on seeing U2 live this tour. after posting a couple threads requesting tickets with no response, i finally recieved an email from Carmella, and she came through for me with a Chicago GA at face value. she could have easily gotten $200 at ebay, but she chose to help me out. although i lucked out in the 3rd leg presale, and now will be seeing more than one show, what she did for me will never be forgotten.

nuetral- we had an agreement for a B&P for a couple DVD's a while back, but after a couple of busy work weeks, i had totally forgotten to send the black discs. one day, i sent nuetral an email apologizing about completely forgetting about the B&P, not only was nuetral understanding, but nuetral sent me 5 boots without even collecting anything from me. i will also never forget what you have done for me.

sorry if this thread is considered spam, but i recieved both of their packages today after a really shitty day at work. they definitely turned my day around.

to give this thread some sort of direction for conversation, let's discuss how U2 fans are truly the greatest fans in the world.

thanks again nuetral and EP!!!

Yep, there are some nice (generous) people in this world.

A little giving can make a big difference.
