Colin Farrell Confronted On Tonight Show

BURBANK, Calif.(July 20, 2006) -- Access Hollywood breaks the news that Colin Farrell was surprisingly confronted on stage as he appeared on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" by a woman who sued him for
harassment.

Dessarae Bradford, alleged in a small-claims lawsuit that Farrell stalked her with inappropriate calls and text messages, but her lawsuit against Farrell was dismissed.

On Thursday, Bradford was a studio audience guest at "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and surprisingly confronted him walking up to him on the stage. According to other audience members, Bradford left a copy of her self-published book, "Colin Farrell: A Dark Twisted Puppy," on Leno's desk.

According to a studio audience guest, Farrell calmly walked Bradford off stage and then, as she was escorted off the set, she shouted, "I'll see you in court" and Farrell retorted, "You're insane."

When asked about the incident by Access Hollywood's Billy Bush at this evening's Los Angeles "Miami Vice" premiere, Farrell replied, "I don't know. I don't know."

Sergeant Gunn of the Burbank Police Department told Access, she was "identified" and advised not to return to NBC property. Gunn added that she was detained by the police, but not officially taken into custody.

Another article said..

"None of the altercation aired on Thursday night's Tonight Show; cameras were shut off for the majority of the unexpected guest's appearance, and Bradford's approach to the stage was edited out completely."

Apparently she has made similar accusations against Alec Baldwin.

Dessarae Bradford, the woman who confronted Colin Farrell Thursday on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, announced Monday that she has filed a lawsuit against the actor.

This suit – for $10 million – is the third brought against Farrell by Bradford, who in November 2004 and July 2005 accused the actor of sexually harassing her. Both suits were dismissed.

At a press conference in downtown Los Angeles, Bradford defended her presence on The Tonight Show, saying her intention was to serve Farrell with a subpoena. She took umbrage at the actor referring to her as a "stalker," part of the basis of her slander complaint.

Bradford passed out copies of her self-published book, Colin Farrell: A Dark Twisted Puppy, to the 10 journalists present, and said, "Colin has hurt me so deeply, and I'm here to disparage the rumors and lies. I am not a stalker, and he's machete-chopped my name (in public)."

On Friday, Farrell filed for, and was granted, a temporary restraining order against Bradford. She must stay 150 yards away from him and have no contact with him.

"I am concerned for the safety of my family," Farrell states in the legal documents, "given Ms. Bradford's ongoing course of conduct and escalating unwanted personal contact."

Farrell writes that Bradford "accosted" him Thursday by "throwing books into my lap." The actor also listed his ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave and their son, James, 2, as needing protection from Bradford, who lives in Los Angeles.

A New Jersey native, Bradford, 31, is a former phone-sex operator and model. In the past, she has claimed Farrell called and text messaged her repeatedly between September 2004 and March 2005.

Bradford, who once announced on her Web site, "I am waging war on Colin Farrell," has recorded a song titled "Colin Farrell is my Bitch."

The temporary restraining order is in effect until Aug. 16, at which time a court hearing is set to allow Bradford to respond to Farrell's grievance

Colin Farrell thinks Tom Cruise is a laugh riot — but Cruise isn't likely to share his amusement.

While hyping his latest movie, "Miami Vice," yesterday on the "Today" show and "Live With Regis and Kelly," Farrell repeatedly mocked his "Minority Report" co-star.

Appearing with Matt Lauer — whom the committed Scientologist famously branded "glib" last year during a debate about psychiatry — Farrell joked: "Stop being glib, Matt! You're glib, Matt, you're glib, you're glib!" Moments later, as Lauer struggled not to lose it, Farrell demanded sternly: "Are you being glib again?"

On "Regis and Kelly," Farrell rubbed it in. When the show came back from a commercial break, the Irish actor was caught glad-handing audience members and dashed back to his seat onstage. "Doin' my best Tom Cruise impersonation," he quipped.

Publicists for Farrell and Cruise didn't respond to detailed messages yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Daily News' Michelle Caruso reports that Farrell's alleged stalker, Dessarae Bradford, who on Monday staged a nutty press conference announcing her third lawsuit against the actor, didn't actually file anything.
