Killer's Return

I thought all those Doug Gilmour fans out there would like this... I went to the Flames/Maple Leafs game last night and got some shots of his return...

First Shift back with Leafs...

On the ice with Nolan...

Unfortunately for Doug, injury and defeat came in the same game...

Yes, I forgot that we were going to swap... damn my good looks... I always get distracted looking in the mirror, sometimes makes me forget about things... sorry, what were we talking about?

nice pictures. you had good seats.

he's as good as can be expected. 4-6 weeks. my guess is, with gilmour, it will be 4. that would put the leafs about halfway through the opening round of the playoffs.
they didn't release the exact prognosis but it sounds as though his medial collateral wasn't torn. if thats true all he needs is a brace...like niinimaa.

Dougie, Dougie...

..lasted, what? A whole period? :scream: :yell:

I was so excited and....*sigh*

Anyway, who's got the scoop? Is he out for the season? Last I heard, 4-6 weeks.

Go Leafs Go?

:yes:go leafs go!

yes it will be 4 to 6 weeks. which places him around the start of the second round. i heard gilmour and doctors feel it should be on the shorter side.

tsn is reporting today gilmour said he would play thru a certain degree of pain, should the leafs fall behind in the first round or any time...a clear sign he presently plans on retiring at the end of this year.

of much more importance is gary roberts' slightly torn groin. it is supposed to be a week but with groins you never know...

Poor leafs. Poor Dougie. But really i feel bad for Doug because as much as i cant understand why anyone would want to play for the Leafs he does love it there and would have been the perfect end to his carreer. But its not over he might be back 3-4 weeks, he;s tough, he's KILLER
