How could I overlook this??? A very Happy Canada Day to Larry Walker of the Colorado Rockies baseball team....

First and only Canadian to reach 2,000 hits in the major leagues...

I just got back from our local parade. It was almost 2 hours long

Lots of different representation:

Unions
Churches
Librarians (their slogan, 'make reading a Hobbit' and they were all dressed like Hobbits )
Buddhist Temple
2 Pipe Bands
Sea Cadets
Veterans
Police (Vancouver PD's motorcycle drill team, Mounties in their red serge, Seattle PD's and Vancouver PD's Horse squads)
Firefighters in antique firetrucks
Korean Drum Band
Local dance schools
Shriners, Lions and Freemasons
Brownies and Guides
Hockey teams
Politicians
Mcdonalds (yes Ronald was there)
And lots more...

There is nothing like a good parade.

Q: What is "aw, shit!" ???

A: Korean Drum Band walking behind Vancouver PD's Horse Squad

Funny enough the horses were at the end of the parade. Followed by their large horse trailer and their pooper scooper boy.

Happy Birthday Canada

some say you're boring
some say you're kind
some say you're communists

but to me you'll always be the father of my children
