can we expect more lyrics like "I like the sound of my own voice!"

and,

"I love the sound of our band, we really can make music like none else!"

:D:D:D

God no!

Expect a lot of lyrics like "I love you more than fish and beer, eh" and promo plugs like "This music has a landscape that is as diverse as the Canadian tapestry."

this is depressing on so many levels.

am i the only one that feels that way?
I was hoping The Maccasarus would take it, frankly.
Anyway, yeah, there goes any hope for the next U2 album.

I'm predicting the title of it to be 'The Forgettable Jackoff".

There are like 5,000 Users Browsing This Forum. :uhoh: B&C has never had this much action before.

One the plus side...at least now people know where B&C is.

...then again that could be a negative.

will it be "loaded with singles, songs that scream to get played on the air and will be an absolute delight to play live"?

will it sound like "a band that's on fire, punk rock on venus"?

why mess with success? it's pretty obvious 7udging by their lack of grammys in the 90's, that that whole decade was an absolute failure in most regards.

the grammy's are THE awards show. they cannot be disputed.

you (and others) can't seriously think this means that the next U2 album will be a dud?? How? Why?! This mindset gives the grammys an awful lot of credit.

Well it's either going to be ATYCLB III: Revenge of the Delay, or a 60-minute spoken word piece featuring Bono, David Bowie, and Sting reading economic policies out loud with Edge singing the backup vocals from Stateless and playing bongos.

Whatever the case, The Forgettable Jackoff is a great title for a record. Bono can spin it by saying it's about his dad or something.

I like pot smoking hippies.

...even the one's that look like woodsmen. :)

HTDAAB is the best album of the past 10 years, and I'm happy that the majority of the 12,000 Acadamy voters, all of them involved with the production of music, at least think it was the best album of the past year. I know the majority of U2 fans think it was the best album of the past year and the 4th best U2 album of all time. I place it 3rd right after Joshua Tree and Achtung!

A great night for U2!

A bad night for BOMB bashers!

how did i know you'd say that?

Cause I'm soooo damned predictable. :)

It's part of my charm. It might actually be my only charm.

But someone has to love pot smoking hippies damn it! :D

best album of the last ten years?

have you listened to anything by anyone in the last decade?

only curious, but i really am...

guys, it's true. i have it on good authority from a solid source that htdaab is "definitely the best album of the past 10 years".

certainly shits all over ok computer, kid a, yankee hotel foxtrot, you forgot it in people, funeral, sea change, turn off the bright lights, etc.

hmmm...

why do i get the feeling that sting hasn't listened to any of those records?

geez, bear.

don't you know? you don't have to actually LISTEN to cd's to know what's good.

you just have to know what sells the most and what wins the most 'awards'.

sheesh.
